Hochschild’s Mara Rosa Output Rises 16% After Contractor Ramp-Up
Hochschild Mining said Mara Rosa produced 17,001 gold-equivalent ounces in the third quarter, 16% more than in Q2, after its new mining contractor reached full capacity and began accessing higher-grade areas. September’s 8,019-ounce result was the mine’s strongest month of 2026, but sustained execution in Q4 remains necessary as Hochschild maintains its annual production and cost guidance.

Mara Rosa’s $3,551/oz AISC Shadows Hochschild’s Next Brazil Mine
Hochschild’s H1 revenue rose 62% and adjusted EBITDA 119%, but Mara Rosa’s AISC reached $3,551/oz while production remained almost flat. With Monte do Carmo approaching a Board decision, Hochschild needs to show that contractor, haulage, filtration and water-management fixes can stabilise its first Brazilian mine before committing to the second.
